The Saanich Express take on the Westshore Bears this evening at the Panorama Arena, Friday May 6th, 2022. Game time is 8:00pm.
Bring your friends, family and even your neighbours to an early match-up between two of the undisputed top teams in the PNWJLL thus far in 2022.
Both teams have had some line-up changes but you can be rest assured, the rink will be rock’in tonight. Come on down to the Panorama Arena and catch your Express in action!
The Saanich Express would like to “Welcome All Fans” of lacrosse to the 2022 PNWJLL season. Your Express take to the floor in their home opener at the Panorama Arena, Friday April 29th, 2022 and take on the Oceanside Sharks! Game time is 8:00pm.
The Express would like to welcome all of our fans back from past seasons as well as all volunteers, participants and parents involved in the “Tournament of Warriors” 16U box lacrosse tournament hosted by the Peninsula Warriors.
Admission is $5.00 (Adult), $3.00 (Seniors/Students) and children under 12 are “free”. All children under 12 and players involved in the tournament are “free” but must be accompanied by an adult (1 for 1). The Kiwanis Club will be operating the concession for the tournament as well as for the Express home opener. Please support our local community groups.
We have a great evening planned for those in attendance! Awesome music! Great intermission activities and of course… some awesome lacrosse action! Many players and teams in the Tournament of Warriors, could be playing in this game next season, so come watch some high intensity lacrosse action when your Saanich Express take to the floor Friday April 29th @ 8pm.
After the game, come join us at our official post-game retreat; Boondocks Bar and Grill (9819 Fifth Street, Sidney, BC / food primary – patrons of all ages welcome). Come gather with the players, friends and family after each Friday night home game… have a bite to eat, enjoy a beverage of choice and socialize with your Saanich Express.

The BCJALL held its annual midget draft this evening and the Saanich Express would like to congratulate all of the Island players selected.

We are happy to announce the addition of Coach Dane Sorensen to the Express organization.
Dane spent his minor lacrosse with JDF lacrosse before graduating from minor to the Senior ranks of the Intermediate Shamrocks, then playing for the Junior Shamrocks and Junior Timbermen. He was then drafted in the 2nd round (13th overall) by the New Westminster Salmonbellies and played his WLA career with the ‘Bellies and Sr. Timbermen.
Dane attended Florida Southern University where he studied and received his (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration). He played 4 seasons of field lacrosse for the Mocs (2012-2015) where he accumulated (173 goals, 44 assists for 217 points) in 58 games. He was then drafted (45th overall) in the 2015 NLL entry draft by the Colorado Mammoth.
Currently Dane is an Associate/Realtor for Realtii Victoria. Prior to pursuing real estate, he spent the past six years as a Senior Sales Representative within the plumbing and construction wholesale industry.
Dane will bring a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Saanich Express as they prepare for the 2022 Pacific Northwest Junior Lacrosse League season where the Express will be hosting the British Columbia Lacrosse Association Junior “B2” Provincials.

The British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League (BCJALL) will hold the 2022 edition of the Entry Draft on Saturday, January 29th, at 7:30 pm. For the health and safety of those involved, the draft will be held virtually and webcast by the team at the Langley Events Centre.
The Entry Draft is designed to disperse the first-year Junior-aged players located in either the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island for their Junior eligible playing years (17-21). Only players in the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island who don’t have a Junior A franchise in their catchment are eligible. If you have a Junior A franchise in your catchment, you are automatically protected by that Club for your Junior eligible playing years (17-21).
Following the results of a draft lottery held on October 28th, the order of the first round of the draft is currently projected to be:
